Good job to Anaheim, congrats on a good series win. Now if the Sharks can pull their heads outta their asses and do what they need to do all would be right in the hockey world.

I'm usually not one of those people to question the southern teams or anything like that, but if everything was "right in the hockey world" San Jose would not be there :P

Hi, how are you?

the scary part of this, back in 97 or 98 or somewhere in there, we did a fantasy hockey tournament and which had Vancouver defeating dallas in the first round, Anaheim defeating vancouver in the second round, Anaheim defeating Detroit in the 3rd round and Anaheim sweeping the Ottawa Senators in 4 games.

Uh-Oh. You're going to get some angry post from a certain sharks fan I know of. Seriously though, how can you say that about one of the steadiest franchises finances and on-ice wise in the league for the past decade and a half. Do some research first.

Congrats Anaheim. Clearly a more talented team than us.

Good start to the Luongo/Vigneault regime though, we need more to be dangerous offensively to go further though.

The only thing most Senators fans know is how the Leafs are doing -- I'm sure half of them don't even know their team is still in the playoffs.

San Jose isn't in the South. San Jose is in Northern California.

Yes, just like Juneau isn't in the North because it is in Southern Alaska

Just like that.

Actually, you have a point. I looked up the coordinates in Wikipedia, and found that San Jose is 37°18′15″N, 121°52′22″W, while Nashville is 36°10′00″N, 86°47′00″W. Atlanta is 33°45′18″N, 84°23′24″W and Dallas is 32°46′N, 96°48′W. For fun, Vancouver is 49°15' N 123°6' W and Buffalo is 42.8864° -78.8781°.

And yes, I thought something was off about that last statement, but I was too dumb to notice what.

Nice catch.

Though, talking about the most recent series, Vancouver still hasn't plugged their biggest playoff hole... scoring. Whilst people were busy tarring and feathering Dan Cloutier the past few years, Naslund and Co. were busy being AWOL. Too bad the front office noticed...

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

I freakin' love the transitive property! And the communitive property is pretty sweet, too. And "givens" in a proof? Forget about it.

Commutative Property?

No, although the commutative property is more well-known, the communitive property refers to the exchange of ideas or sentiments within a proof.
