FiddySicks
So San Jose once again completely hands their second round series to their opponent. This is probably the most dissapointed ive ever been in this team. They lost four of the ugliest games ive ever seen. I just simply dont get it. They have the talent to beat tough teams. They showed it by just dominating the Preds and by playing four games where they owned the Red Wings, yet they still lost two of them. Whats wrong with the Sharks? They are a good team who battles hard and has talent and ability coming out of their ears. They blew their second round series last year so they went out and got even better for this year, yet still had the same dissapointing results. I just simply cannot figure out this team, and am really starting to question if this group can ever win a cup. I simply have ZERO idea of what the Sharks need to do to get them over the hump. Definately a bitter end to what was a very sweet season. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) NJTank
Sharks have only themselves to blame should of had a 3-1 lead could have even swept, once they lost Game 4 I knew they were toast. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
philly97flyer
On a little bit of a side note, anyone catch wind of this talk about the NHL possibly going to 4-on-4 overtime in the playoffs next season. Apparently, alot of the players are bitching to the PA and the league about the fact that they dont like playing in games with 3, 4, 5 overtimes. They want to make it so it becomes 4-on-4 after the first overtime period. If this change goes through, I will be outraged. It is probably the best thing hockey has going for itself. You wanna give me regular season shootouts and tight jerseys? Fine. But don't touch playoff overtime. Please.

leedsunited
The Sharks blew it. It's all on them. Simple as that. I agree with bucfan56 I'm just baffled why they can't get over the hump. The worst part is getting shut out at home. What the hell! Give the Dead Wings credit, they were the better team ever since the Sharks blew the chance to go up 3-1 in game 4. Hasek was absolutely dominating last night. In all fairness, the Sharks played well. But the Wings played better (as much as I hate to say that). Granted, I'm a Wings fan, but I honestly didn't expect them to escape this round. In the first Detroit victory, San jose went up 2 pretty early. In the 2nd and 3rd periods, the Wings D held them to something along the lines of 11 shots. You're not gonna beat a team with 11 shots over 2 periods(unless, of course, they have 8), especially with Hasek in the net, regardless of how much I hate the guy. Also, in game 4, I think it was, San Jose pulled a watered-down Calgary, and kind of lost all composure at the end.An entertaining series, to say the least. San Jose'll get one within the next few, assuming they keep the majority of the team together. Bring on the Ducks.

Snazel
For what its worth, I thought San Jose was very poorly coached, especially in games five and six. The line changes were ragged, the players seemed listless and unrepsonsive to the coaches behind the bench and the team seem ill-prepared for Detroit's style of play.I'd fire the coaches, and get some keener minds that can take the incredible talent on the Sharks to new heights.I like the Sabres/Senators matchup, I think that could turn out to be a great series. I think the Red Wings are good for hockey. They are a marquee franchise, with recognizable stars and a well-liked logo and history. The more established teams that succeed in the NHL, the better I think it is overall for the league.Let's hope the conference finals are awesome...I have a feeling they will be. I was just trying to point out that you guys havent exactly had it hard in the playoffs so far. I don't think anyone wanted to play Pittsburgh, you never know what will happen with themEven as the official-pittsburgh-bias-homer of the CCSLC, I have to say that the media was sorta blowing us outta proprtion. We were not ready for the playoffs or by any means going all the way. Next year, however, is a different story.

Not many lineup changes would have made a difference.Let's not be hasty here, Ron Wilson's had his ups and downs at the helm, but it really wasn't his fault. Game 4 was an emotional letdown, Detroit applied the defensive clamps, Hasek turned into his old self circa 1996, and series over at that point. Not much he could have done differently, IMO.And let's not forget, he did seriously outcoach Barry Trotz the series before
Fred T. Jane
And let's not forget, he did seriously outcoach Barry Trotz the series before A herculean effort if there ever was one, letmetellyou... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Golfing come playoff time or blowing huge leads with the opportunity to grab a title. Being a Bay Area sports fan, I guess I should be used to it by now, but im not. Sport
Not being in the playoffs is worse. Remember that knowing your team is going to make the playoffs or is in close contention for that last spot keeps your interest. I have never had anything to be excited with hockeywise nearing the end of the season, and I'm usually getting geared up for baseball at that time. Snazel
I agree with Mac, for me personally, not making the playoffs is worse than being swept in the first round. It's even more humiliating when the Toronto Maple Leafs eliminate you. This is akin to losing a spelling bee to the schoolhouse thug.
