Shane Does Art 4 Posted May 10, 2007 Tonight's game will be a HUGE one in the series...
leedsunited 0 Posted May 10, 2007 So San Jose once again completely hands their second round series to their opponent. This is probably the most dissapointed ive ever been in this team. They lost four of the ugliest games ive ever seen. I just simply dont get it. They have the talent to beat tough teams. They showed it by just dominating the Preds and by playing four games where they owned the Red Wings, yet they still lost two of them. Whats wrong with the Sharks? They are a good team who battles hard and has talent and ability coming out of their ears. They blew their second round series last year so they went out and got even better for this year, yet still had the same dissapointing results. I just simply cannot figure out this team, and am really starting to question if this group can ever win a cup. I simply have ZERO idea of what the Sharks need to do to get them over the hump. Definately a bitter end to what was a very sweet season.Man, making the playoffs every year must really suck.Point taken, but sometimes I wonder whats worse. Golfing come playoff time or blowing huge leads with the opportunity to grab a title. Being a Bay Area sports fan, I guess I should be used to it by now, but im not. After all the titles and pure domination the Niners ran up in the 80s, Bay Area sports fans should never complain about anything else again. And you even had a nice little Oakland A's run in the early 90s to keep you satisfied.Love,Cleveland, Buffalo, Seattle.

winters in buffalo 131 Posted May 11, 2007 Ugh, what a crappy game. Sabres are going to have to stay out of the box if they want to win this series. Come to think of it, when Ottawa gets a penalty, Buffalo should just decline.

What, are percussion instruments banned in Buffalo or something?

FiddySicks 11,371 Posted May 13, 2007 Heh, wow. So Ottawa has taken a commanding lead headed back home and Det has the edge on Anaheim. Yeah, I didnt think it was physically possible but I must say this year is even more worthless than last year. Accully, this whole year for me has been quite terrible for sports so far.

spyboy1 60 Posted May 13, 2007 That OT goal by Ottawa was really huge for them and might be the key point in the entire series. Going back home up 2-0 instead of getting deflated about giving up the tying goal right at the end has got to give them a huge confidence boost.Had they let that one get away they could have said all the usual blather about "happy to have gained a split on the road" and all, but they would have taken a big blow to their confidence and given away a lot of momentum, which they now have in buckets. To be down 2-0 on the road and come back to win the game is a big deal. To nearly let that one get away right at the end could have really messed with their minds.Game 3 is really now a must win for Buffalo and hopefully will turn out to be a great game. I've got a party planned for game six of this series and I want to see it happen. It's amazing that Alfredsson avoided a boarding penalty in OT, not that Buffalo's later power play opportunity would suggest that they would have scored, but come on, with two refs on the ice and the puck in the area, how on Earth does that get missed?JeffB

Horrible officiating all night for both sides.

Roger Clemente 196 Posted May 13, 2007 I heard on XM Home Ice that Buffalo is 1 for 13 in series which they've lost Game 1. Oy!--Roger "Time?" Clemente.
NJTank 1,129 Posted May 13, 2007 What is it with Buffalo Sports Teams? They seem to find the most creative ways to rip the heart from their fans and with Chris Drury a Free Agent, and scoring a game tying goal against the Rangers, chances are next year he will be scoring goals for the Rangers especially with Shanahon retiring and Drury being from a town in Connecticut that is very close to the city. I think the Sabres can not afford to lose him, but can they spend enough to keep him. That means unless they find away to win two games in Ottawa they are done for a few years.
