Fred T. Jane
*shifts around awkwardly*so... who wins tomorrow night? [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Coast2CoastAM2006
thank god that abomination of a logo won't be in the finals. Sabres are done, they're not comming back from 3-0, now if Anaheim can take care of business my vision of a ducks/senators series will be realized. Spoilers! KevinMcD
They're not only down 3-0 they have played the worst hockey I have ever seen them play since the lockout. One stat says it all Sabres on PP: 0-18. They probably have given up more scoring chances on the power play than they have gotten. Last night they gave up a 2-0 on a PP. Yes a 2-0, luckily Miller was great, and only a bad bounce off the backboards got by him. They do not deserve to win this series, or a game in this series, they look like they aren't even trying. habsfan1
I guess Buffaslug-haters (like me) can breathe easier now that it looks like that abomination of a logo won't be adorning a Stanley Cup banner for at least one more year.Amen to that. And I hope they don't bounce back.

While I hate Detroit, I think they'll give more national exposure to the finals than Anaheim would. Hopefully Ottawa crushes them when they get there. habsfan1
As long as Ottawa plays like they did in the 3rd period of game 4, they will win. Haha, even on a PK they had puck control and were on offence.
HedleyLamarr
Haha, even on a PK they had puck control and were on offence. They were needing to take offensive chances. I don't watch a lot of Ottawa games, but seeing Spezza on the ice for the PK seemed different.
Shane Does Art
Believe me they had tons of chances. They had about 4 shots go off the posts horrible calls on icings and offsides, and we were always 2 steps away from a goal (literally). We played fine just bothced on our oppurtunities. Sport
THIS is how the Sabres will rip out the hearts of their fans, not by getting swept. You're going to see them win the next two games to get your hopes up the slightest bit and then get destroyed in game 7 or lose in game 7 on the most unlucky bounce you've ever seen. spyboy1
When Ottawa had the momentum and those back to back powerplays almost 100% in the Buffalo zone, especially the first two minutes, they really had the opportunity to tie the game and most likely crush Buffalo's spirit and take the game, but THEY COULD NOT HIT THE FREAKIN' NET with nearly all of their shots. Redden had one in the slot from 10-12 feet and fired it high.It drives me crazy when NHL players can put the puck on the net from 120 feet away when time is running out in a period time after time, but can't even force the goalie to make a save from six feet. It just drives me crazy.JeffB Click here to read Third String Goalie - The Hockey Jersey of the Day Blog Click here to see my hockey and baseball jersey collection online ?You don?t like to see 20 kids punching 20 other kids.
