never mind afredsson and his blatent attempt to shoot a puck through neidermayer, i'm more disturbed by the Mighty Ducks having there names etched on the stanley cup.

They may be Mighty, but the cup will only read "Anaheim Ducks". Nothing to worry about there, Disney won't have their fingerprint on the cup from this like they would have had they won in '03 (even though I don't think Disney was still involved with them at that time). I'd rather see "Scott Niedermayer" than "Daniel Alfredsson" on it anyday...

... preferrably I'd like to see Rob Niedermayer on it....

Why not both, side by side? :P How about some Teemu on it as well, I'd love to see him finally hoist the cup...

And Roger I know he didn't mention, I brought it up because the two incidents were similar, for christs sake am I not allowed bringing up something similar anymore?

Something similar? What are you talking about? How is you assuming Neon said it was okay for Sundin to throw a broken stick into the crowd (which he never at all) similar to the fact that Alfredsson took a slapshot towards Scott Niedermayer's direction?

--Roger "Time?" Clemente.

Well he brought up the Sundin throwing of the stick, so naturally I wanted to know what he thought.

Yah shooting at Niedermayer was dumb, but hey its hockey we've had dumber things happen...from what I remember of the game the shot wasnt that hard, I dont know though I tend to forget more of the stuff that happens in losses.

So anyone else predicting Sens in 7?? :hockeysmiley:

Hi, how are you?

It was a hard shot on Nieds, luckally it was low and hit padding. It would have looked as hard as it was had it hit a part of him not protected by padding.

By contrast, Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the NBA drew 7.4 million viewers, the highest rated show on basic cable all year.

For the NHL Stanley Cup Finals:

# Game One ranked 58th among all TV programs on May 28, with its 0.5 U.S HH rating and average audience of 769,000 viewers, ranking just behind Food Network's 'Build a Better Burger' (807,000 viewers) and E!'s 'Sunset Tan' (795,000 viewers)."

# "Game Two ranked 74th on May 30 with a U.S HH rating of 0.4 and an average audience of 576,000, placing it just behind a pair of episodes of "Mama's Family" on ION Networks (659,000 viewers and 620,000 viewers) and "VH1 All Access: Celebrity Parties" (578,000) (THE DAILY)."

# Game 3 "fell below the movie "Meltdown: Days Destruct" on Sci-Fi Channel, which posted a 1.2 U.S HH rating and 1.963 million viewers from 9:00-11:00pm the same night."

So what that article is telling me is that OLD RERUNS OF MAMA'S FAMILY gets better ratings than the Stanley Cup?

This is a sad story. I guess I'll have to join the "cool crowd" and start watching Mama's Family then.

Is your heart broken?

I'm just questioning your motives. You say you can't stand this place, and you keep coming back, mostly to piss over how much you hate this country and hockey. You're obviously here to do no more then try to work people up. Is your life that boring?

You don't like hockey? Fine, don't watch. Don't rag on everyone else who likes it though, and don't gloat at the fact that the sport gets poor ratings.

You don't like this site? Don't bother signing on.

You don't like this country and the people in it? Head south, and don't come back.

Don't hate the country, just hate the sports media. For the record I don't hate hockey, I just think it's an irrelevant sport.

So you hate the sports media because they focus on a sport you don't happen to find interesting? Did it ever cross your mind why the media in this country focuses so much on hockey? Perhaps it's because the vast majority of Canadians happen to consider hockey their favourite sport to play and/or watch. No one's saying you have to feel this way, but for once look past your own self-centred point of view and realize that your opinion is not one the nation as a whole shares, and that you complaining about it only makes you look like a self-centred tool.

Ok...You probably won't believe this but there was supposed to be a question mark.

Now I;m not saying that it was a squeaky clean move by Alfredsson, but it sure wasn't gutless...if it was gutless he'd swing his stick at Niedermayer's face that, that, that is gutless....

Hi, how are you?

Unfortunately that is probably better than before he took over. In fact considering it was on Sportschannel America before Bettman took over it I'm sure it is.

Ottawa's doing what every Leafs fan is secretly wishing them to do - fail gallantly on a national stage.

2-0 Duckies after one. I'm pulling for them.

This has been brought up before, but I think it deserves a response. For someone who thinks hockey is irrelevant, why is your name a hockey reference?

Actually, what I'm most confused about is how you are still allowed on this board after you told off the guy who makes this board possible.

Here's a link to what he said, in case anyone is interested: Original6's rant

Ottawa looks like a deer caught in the high beams of a speeding semi truck. Looks like the cup is gonna stay in the US.
