Billy B
Buehrle just no hit the Rangers and he was supposed to be declining in his talent. This is the 1st White Sox no-hitter in 16 years. It would have been a perfect game if he didn't walk Sosa.
Milo Meningocele
Nolan Ryan was technically on the decline for his last couple of no-hitters. Doesn't mean he still didn't have something left. But really, any pretty decent hurler is capable of throwing one if a perfect storm of circumstances comes about.
DEAD!
That sosa had to ruin everything, didn't he? then again, I just found out Buehrle picked him off one he reached base lol I saw, I came, I left.
WJMorris3
From what I understand, Buehrle faced the minimum, as he picked off Sosa. Still, I always like to see someone throw a no-hitter. If anything, it immortalizes him in baseball lore, at least to some degree.

infrared41
Thank goodness for MLB Extra Innings. I had just gotten home from work and I was watching the end of The Bulls/Nets game on ESPN. An update said that Buerhle had a no-hitter going so I switched over and saw the last inning. Looks like he was throwing serious all night. Way to go! Discrim
heh, may say something about Buerhle's demise being greatly exaggerated, but then you can take a look at every pitcher who's ever thrown one. some of em are legends, some are bums, and that Vandermeer fella's two straight no-hitters make him just about the luckiest mug ever to step on a mound. A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull

Telemundo219
We could've had two in one night and the first in Mets history (John Maine gave up two hits in the 7th) but too bad. Congrats to Mark Buerle for a wonderful outting. College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

VitaminD
Damn it I picked him 1 day too late. I tried to get him in my lineup for today but missed the deadline.Damn it, I picked him 1 season too early... 12-13 alleged #2 starter... Of course, maybe it's me - my #2 starter this year is Carlos Zambrano. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
