But really, any pretty decent hurler is capable of throwing one if a perfect storm of circumstances comes about.That's true. Don Larsen is well known for his perfect game in the 1956 World Series, but was basically a journeyman pitcher. Nowhere near a Hall of Famer.But Nolan Ryan did throw seven no-hitters. You could say his pitching was on the decline (though I never think it was) and he was getting old, but he could still whoop some serious @$$.
