Official NFL Draft and Draft Weekend Trades Thread

Recommended Posts

Do you think the Packers are a little gunshy about Rodgers' suseptibility to injury after last year?

(He broke his leg as soon as he came in to replace Favre)

Plus, with the ever-looming #4 retirement, would the they go after Quinn?

We were both wrong, Bucco. We'd make crummy draft prognosticators.

...Actually, that was the second one I missed on. The first was Quinn...but that story's already known. (And now, Cleveland is trying to get BACK into the first round to get Quinn...read what you will into that...)

I don't know HOW I forgot about Lawrence Timmons, but that dude is going to do damage this year!

As far as the Packers go, they need a RB replacement. THe Packers put a sizeable investment into Aaron Rodgers, so I just can't see them taking another QB, especially Quinn, whose agent, Tom Condon, WILL COMMAND some serious $$$. They could also use some wideout help, too. Offensive weapons...they need them. RB or WR is the route I think the Packers will go here...

I just really can't see Brady Quinn going to the Packers there. And now look...Suzy Kolber done broke thorugh the privacy barrier and gotten into the "private room" and stuck a mic into Quinn's face...great.

Look, Brady...seven more picks, the Chiefs will be on the clock. I believe that is where you belong.

No it isn't.

Yeah, its dead. CJ is gonna rot in Detroit running worthless 40 yard dashes that would be receptions anywhere else. And im a big Dwayne Jarret fan as well, I think hes brilliantly underrated.

Matt's testing how bullet-proof he actually is with the Lions owners.

"Wow, um, I haven't been let go yet?"

"What if...what if I draft another WR in the first round?" [braces for impact]

[gets up and looks around] "Huh, wow. What else can I get away with?"

If I were a betting man, I'd say Quinn gets picked at #23 going to the Chiefs.

Right now it looks like Quinn will be going at 23 to the Chiefs. All the teams ahead of them have a good QB situation. Maybe the Bears would trade up to get Quinn. They need someone other than Grossman, but I don't think that Quinn is that good.

Trade details:

Denver gets pick number 17. Jacksonville gets picks number 21, 86, and 198.

I hope Joe Staley comes off the board soon.

Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida, to the Broncos at #17.

As far as Brady Quinn, I BEEN saying that he could go to the Chiefs ever since the Dolphis passed on him...

...Maybe my crystal ball here might prove truthfully prophetic???

Okay, say this out loud and then listen to yourself: Brodie Croyle; Brady Quinn.

They sound too similar...too cool.

(Say it a few more times: Brodie Croyle, Brady Quinn; Brodie Croyle, Brady Quinn...

BRODIE CROYLE; BRADY QUINN!!)

I know you hate the Gators, Buc, but Moss is a Jason Taylor-esque type of undersized pass rushing DE. He can ball.
