Hall to Rams!?!

Is this a good thing? Does this mean we wont draft a reciever (ie Ginn) with our first pick? Is this guy too old to return to his former glory (pun intended)?

He's about at the end of his career. That's why the Chiefs unloaded him.

I'd say getting a 5th rounder for him is good. All he's good for is a kick returner. As a WR he's not that effective. He has speed but no height.

Sure he may have a few returns left in him, but I think for KC it was a good move. For the Rams it was a decent move.

Probably a win-win.

Let's not forget the real winner in all of this--me. That newly discounted Dante Hall jersey is headed my way in a hurry.

What is the pun?

EDIT: Oh. "Return." Eh.

Amen to that, I am very happy that I didn't pick one up this season, now I'll catch one real cheap. VERY NICE. I think I'll get the fashion black.

He's 28. He had a down year, no reason to assume it's the end of his career though.

Even his down year will be better for the Rams, but I think he'll be a little re-energize and make a pretty good impact with us.

His former coach in KC and Super Bowl winning coach with the Rams was absolutely gushing over this trade from the Rams perspective. Said he's the best returner he's been around and said he's definitely better than Tony Horne and Az Hakim who were the last impact (or even near average) return men the Rams have had.

Also, he doesn't have to be an effective WR for the Rams. Our core of Holt, Bruce, and Bennett can handle the workload. Hall can be the exciting fourth guy (maybe, he'll have competition there too), but can focus almost primarily on his specialty.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, but I'm really excited about it.

It almost seems like the Chiefs are having a "fire sale" of sorts. Green to Miami, Hall to St. Louis, and from what I've heard up here in 'Sconsin is them sending Larry Johnson to the Packers for the 1st and (4th?) round picks in this years draft.

I'd like that. But, I hope they wait to announce it until the Packers are on the clock, because after the first six or seven picks, seeing that pick No. 16 coming up is what's gonna keep me glued to the Draft, and I have my whole day set aside for watching it.
