HedleyLamarr
Hate the guy because he pretty much pwned the Braves in a game a couple of years back. We're probably thinking of the same 3-game series at Turner Field where Bonds hit 6 HR's....
Coast2CoastAM2006
i can't wait until bonds hits the record so he can own both the single season HR record and the career home run record. for me personally its about the ring, i'd rather have a collection of WS rings than a collection of records. he can break all the baseball records for all i care but how about doing something more impressive and win a world series. Spoilers!
leedsunited
I would like to see Bonds break the record in the city that screwed himPittsburgh, PennsylvaniaWE screwed HIM? No, buddy. He left. We didnt trade him. He left us to sign as a free agent.Pirates management resigned Van Slyke and Drabek, but not Bonilla or Bonds (the real core of those great Leyland-era teams).Frankly, I don't fault the logic. Bonds wanted/would have garnered too much, and Bonilla was a headcase (witness the shenanigans with the Mets). The whole signing Van Slyke at the expense of Bonds really isn't true. Andy made no bones about ever really testing the market, he wanted to stay in the Burgh and he certainly wouldn't have cost as much as Bonds. And Drabek was the unquestioned ace of the staff.
