cappital92 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 There was a thread in S.I.G. about Atlantic Leauge exspanion, and Northern Virginia came up as an possible place. So, here's the Virginia Rebels, named after the Confederate Army. The colors are Gray and Navy Blue(standard for Civil War based-concepts ). http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?
neo_prankster Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I would ditch the VR logo for the sword through the V for the cap. The Fictional Story of Austus
elliott Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 The VR logo looks really choppy and unprofessional. Definetely go with the sword one. Dribbble ... Behance
kewp80 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 The sword logo is by far the best, but it looks weird with that blue rectangle behind it, I would ditch the blue rectangle and make another variation with a blue V. Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music!
scottysprings Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I'm pretty sure the union was blue and the confederates were more red so might want to change that around.
kewp80 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Actually at the beggining of the war some confederates wore blue, and even some union troops most notably a regiment from Indiana had grey uniforms. Also as the war went on a lot of the confederates wore the light blue union pants that they stole from dead union soldiers, could add some light blue, I think that would look pretty good.Sorry, I'm a Civil War buff... Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music!
cappital92 Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 Well, kewp80, I did add some light blue.I also made a new sleeve patch and made the old one the cap logo.Round 2! http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?
slapshot Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 First, it's expansion, not exspanion. The V on your cap logo looks like a U. The inside of the V should not make a bowl. Why does your sleeve logo read "Virginia Civics"?Everything in this looks rushed. Take your time. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016

Spell-checked on Word.2.I can see where you're coming from. I did thicken the "V" a good bit.3.I'm a total moron for that. I was thinking about making this a uniform for a fantasy team.Overall, I'm still working on it. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?

Why do you have a light blue number but no light blue any where on the script of back number/name? Change that. You need to totally rework the "V", maybe make it a cursive to tie into the Rebels script. That pants piping is horrendous and needs to be turned down, have it match the piping on the jersey.
Mings Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Why did you just modify the Virginia Cavaliers logo by making a :censored:ty V and erasing a sword? This doesn't cut it man. No one is gonna take you seriously if you don't put your heart and soul into it.
cappital92 Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 I put serifs on the V to make less like a U, along with changing the back numbers and pants pipeing, and took the script off the sleeve logo. This should be better.P.S. Mings, I did base the sword off of UVA's, but they're not the same sword. There are only so many ways to make a Civil War style sword with a curved blade. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?
slapshot Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 It's not better. Serifs don't make the V look less like a U. Neither does thickening it.You need to make the inside of the V come to a point, not a flat line. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
speedy Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Yeah, this doesn't look any better. Why have a blue outline on light blue numbers on the back, but neglect the blue outline on the front?
