Thad
I hope we get someone like MCjr and then a Center (maybe the Yi guy?) with the 3 and 11 though.Though I know we will get Wright because of G/F "ability and potential". NJTank
You're all wrong - Portland wins the Draft Lottery. Seattle will pick #2, followed by Atlanta. Memphis and Boston round out the top 5.Well the Hawks' top pick is safe. But yeah, did not expect Portland to win it. They're going to rise back to prominence in a couple of years. Congrats to the Blazers. So the Hawks have their best-case scenario....two picks in the top 11.I wonder which two 6'8" power forwards are heading to Atlanta this season.....If I was the Hawks I seriously look at Joakim Noah hes a proven winner, and I think he will be a big time pro. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
SteveR
Y'know this Oden-Aldridge frontcourt is going to be so similar to San Antonio's Robinson-Duncan frontcourt that it isn't even funny, all the way down to Oden being the same age as the Admiral.Remember, we're talking about the franchise that passed on Michael Jordan. broncoempire
This lottery just disproved one conspiracy theory for me: the league rigs the lottery. Portland! I couldn't have drawn it up any better. And Seattle with the 2, just brilliant! The only thing it does keep alive is the theory by Simmons and some others that the league does have it in for the C's. Speaking as a fan mainly of the Bulls, but not nearly what I was since Jordan retired (former Chicagoland resident here) It's a shame they didn't come out better. Too bad Phoenix didn't get to steal the 4. I'm looking forward to how the Hawks will screw this one up. Overall the lottery is loaded this year; if you were in the top 10 you were ok so its not a total loss for everybody, even if you missed on picks 1a and 1b. As a Bulls fan I will always like the Blazers for passing on Jordan. But this year the Blazers will take Oden, and he will be the best player from this draft. That young frontcourt should be great. And they have Brandon Roy, the Blazers should be a good team in a few years.

leedsunited
I don't care about the Celts, but jesus, you have to feel for that franchise.Truly cursed. Len Bias has to be haunting that franchise. Andy Katz' mock draft have them going after the Chinese center project. Ha ha, like they'll have any fans left by the time he develops three or four years down the road, if ever. What is the deal with Seattle getting the pick??? I smell chicanery from Kaiser Stern in order to drum up local support and excitement, leading to a possible new arena. Smells fishy as all get-out, shades of Patrick Ewing in '85. Sorry, Seattle had no business getting that pick. You're all wrong - Portland wins the Draft Lottery. Seattle will pick #2, followed by Atlanta. georgie6543
How about this scenario for the Blazers: Trade Jarrett Jack and Zach Randolph (and cash, cause Allen's got some) to Seattle for the number two pick, get Kevin Durant and Greg Oden. Starting Line-up Next year:1-Rodriguez2-Roy3-Durant4-Aldridge5-Oden
infrared41
Is it safe to assume Bill Simmons is on suicide watch? If "The Sports Guy" is on suicide watch, I just hope he stops teasing us and closes the damn deal.Boston at #5? Hilarious. I love it when "The Sports Guy" is miserable. Look out. This might mean he goes to Vegas, smokes a cigarette, drinks a beer, and then regales us with tales of how wild he is. Bill Simmons "The :censored:ing Sports Puss." Sucks to be you dude...and I couldn't be happier. He's the personification of why I hate Boston sports. TLChandler
As a Blazer fan, this is one of the happiest moments I've had in a while. Seriously, I haven't stopped smiling says 5:54 PM. Oden, LA, and BRoy.I can see ZBo on his way out. Maybe a sign and trade for Rashard Lewis is what a lot of us are thinking. We have 4 second rounders, so we got a lot of wiggle room too. I got high hopes. Hiiiiigh hopes.
Braden
Well the Raptors were able to move up to #1 last year, and their pick Bargnani was a big part of them being the surprise team of the league and Atlantic Division champs.Portland has a lot of good things going for them, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Blazers make it to the playoffs with all the talent they've been able to collect... Randolph, Aldridge, Roy... adding Oden or Durant to that is pretty impressive.
FiddySicks
8. Charlotte - Joakim Noah, PF, FloridaMorrison and Noah on the same team? Isnt having that much ugliness on the floor at the same time a violation of NBA rules and international law? Bronxmet
I do not call the Celtics decline the Curse of Len Bias, its the curse of Reggie Lewis cuz they stopped playing good ball after he collapsed (with the exception of the early 2000's teams). Seadragon76
Exactly. Come to think of it, I want to laugh at the Celtics' misery by, well, laughing.HA HA HA HA HAA!Now, as for Seattle: Mmmm... I'm already drooling over the possible idea of seeing the man-child Kevin Durant in Sonic Green and Gold. But, knowing Portland has a history of botching the first pick in the draft, I am also drooling over the chance of seeing Greg Oden in Sonic Green and Gold. Jimmy!
For those draft trivia buffs, when was the last time Portland picked this high with two players of this caliber? Was it '84 with Olajuwon, Bowie, and Jordan?
