OMMF
KING5.com staffAPSEATTLE -- Seattle's Jones Soda Co. has beat Coca-Cola for the soft drink rights at Seahawks games. The company ? which produces quirky drinks like Fu-Fu Berry flavored soda -- will sell fountain drinks and colas in plastic bottles in Qwest Field as part of a 5-year deal."The biggest thing for this, is it's the only stadium and team contract that hasn't gone to Coke or Pepsi," said Wendy Ogunsemore, a spokesperson for the company. "All other stadiums are Coke and Pepsi."She was unsure on the exact date when Jones Sodas will be available at Qwest, but said the company will announce more details at a June press conference.Jones Soda Co. is also known for putting photographs of customers on its soda bottle wrappers. As part of the new contract, it plans to feature photos of different fans and Seahawks football players.

Jimmy!
Good for them. Nice to see the little guy get a shake now and then. Love Jones Soda, both from a design standpoint and taste. Phil
The 'Berry White' Jones Juice is very good. I used to work right across from a store that sold Jones' products, and once I discovered them, I couldn't get enough.

Both have a quirky reputation (not trying to start anything). It's where I sit.
CS85
Glad to see the big guns get put down by a local company for once. This should add a nice hometown touch to seahawk games. STL FANATIC
I always pass up on Jones Soda because it's usually sold at places that make it into a novelty and thus too expensive. I'll try it sometime though. I did see some at Wal-Mart the other day, didn't look at the price then though. harperdc
it's a bit more widespread up here in the northwest (obviously) and I'm not surprised a company like Jones got a chance even with an NFL team in a place like Seattle - the NW is ALL about home-grown stuff, and as now there are a lot of companies getting bigger nationally that started in Washington and Oregon, it's nice to see them get rewarded.Jones' green apple is the last I had, kinda tart and sugary but good. I need to track down some of their root beer and cream soda, I guess...
Gothamite
Good for them.Lambeau Field went to Coke two years ago - before that, it was indeed RC. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

Mac the Knife
I never had Jones Cola is it any good?In a word... YES!Some of the best soda I've ever drank came from Jones. Love their orange and their cream soda. I haven't yet had the stones to try their holiday flavors (gravy and potato for Thanksgiving, for example), but suspect someday I will if they keep putting them out.Great stuff! Sec19Row53
Lambeau Field went to Coke two years ago - before that, it was indeed RC.On another board, someone said that Coke moved into Lambeau in 2003 (I'm pretty sure that's not teh case, and couldn't find anything on either the Packers or Lambeau Field sites). I'll tell you that I don't honestly recall seeing them sell Coke products. I'll pay more attention this fall. It's where I sit.
Gothamite
Packers sign five-year deal with Coca-Cola (Green Bay Press-Gazette, Aug. 28, 2002)To be honest, I don't remember seeing them at the stadium either, but I don't pay attention to the soft drinks.... I did remember that Coca-Cola sponsors a Fan Zone at the atrium, though, part of the same deal. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
