the Seattle Seahawks wear their white pants at home with their blue jerseys ?????? Its been 5 years of the drab "all blue from head to toe ALL THE TIME". Anybody else tired of the same look ? At least switch it around for a few games............................

I used to wish they would switch (I would set the blue jersey/white pants combo as their default on Madden), but the blue monochrome has grown on me. I think it's cool how, even in this day in age, the Seahawks were able to successfully make that shade of blue so closely identified with the team. "Seahawks Blue" is gettin' up there with "Carolina Blue" and "Tennessee Orange."

The white pants look very out of place with the blue jerseys, like a clash of contemporary and conservative styles. I'd like the blue pants to be full time, even with the road whites.

No. The blue jersey white pants is by far the most disgusting look in the NFL, where the all blue is one of the best.

i'm am not a fan of monochromes at all. i find it to be aesthetically monotnous. I'm not sure if white pants is the way to go but i've seen where silver pants where used which looked good. I'm with you i really don't like the monochrome look.

I think the only reason people think the blue jersey/white pants looks bad is that you've never really gotten to see that combo used from day one of the uniform change. They've only used that combo 5 times in 5 years. I'll bet if they used it more, people would get used to seeing it, they would like it. It doesn't look any worse than the Eagles in their white pants.

I loved the white pants with the blue jerseys and wish they would return to them. The Seahawks went with a relatively conservative uniform change in 2002 (as compared to most of the piping-whored garments adorned by some other teams). I think the whole set is great and just loved how the blue helmet and jerseys looked on top of the white pants, especially with the black shoes.

Normally, I'm not a fan of monochrome (including white/white), but I agree with the others that the Seahawks are the exception on their dark unis (I prefer the white jerseys with the dark pants, too). I like the way that whole uniform looks, especially the unique colors -- both the Seahawks blue and lime green.

The monocrome home look is great and so is the away unis with the sea hawk blue pants (I wish they want back to those). But the blue on white looks a little weird probably because th lack of seahawk blue on the pants plus the thin stripe on the pants.

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

Whilst the monochrome itself is fine (good in fact), I reckon the reason that people dislike the blue/white combo is that there is too much colour in the jersey itself. The sleeves are a darker blue and the lime green is out of place, in an otherwise homogenous (not neccessarily the correct word, but it seemed to make sense) colour palette. I think dropping the secondary blue, and reverting to an older green (as on the previous sets) or a dark one, would make the white pants look a lot better (and the monochrome look too).

Seahawks blue? That is the color of sludge. The same sluge found in the nearby Duwamish River. The same murky non-color of the sky and landscape on many a fall and winter late afternoon in Seattle.

The Seahawks used to wear blue.

I think they look ridiculous in those monochrome scuba diving suits. But maybe it's appropriate they wear an outfit that blends into the surroundings. The bright white pants might blind us in the Pacific Northwest.

Still, I believe IF the Seahawks had started wearing the blue jersey/white pants back in 2002 as the concept was orginally designed, people would think nothing of it. Its what you get used to seeing. A vast number of fans have never seen that combo worn on a consistant basis so they think is looks odd. (5 games total, 4 pre-season, 1 regular season) I venture to say if the silver helmet had won the fan vote contest, we would have never seen the all blue look. Also, it seems odd that some fans accept the blue pants worn with white jerseys but dislike the blue jerseys with white pants ?????????

I think that's a little much.

Once it gets referred to as such outside of the sporting world, then we can talk.

I have been converted to the Seahawk monocrome. It does not work for all teams, but for whatever reason it really does for the 'hawks.

Here ya go...

teams who wear SCUBA SUITS as uniforms DO NOT deserve to exist. THEY NEED TO CHANGE AND F-N FAST!!!!!!!!!!

Wow the hatred towards monochrome uniforms is pretty heavy in this thread

I for one don't mind the monochromes, provided the colors aren't garish. One example I find garish is the Titans all light blue look. Bad, just plain bad. The Seahawks actually look pretty good to me. I just wish the blue or 'sludge' as someone put it was a bit brighter.
