The Road to Omaha nears the conclusion of the Super Regionals with these teams advancing to Rosenblatt Stadium next week:

-Rice (Swept Texas A&M 2-0)

-Mississippi State (Swept Clemson 2-0)

-UC Irvine (Swept Wichita State 2-0)

-Arizona State (Swept Ole Miss 2-0)

-Cal State Fullerton (Swept UCLA 2-0)

-North Carolina (Defeated South Carolina 2-1)

-Louisville (Defeated Oklahoma State 2-1)

One series remains as Oregon State and Michigan play again today with the Beavers up 1-0.

Louisville looked really strong in the Super Regionals. They won their first game 10-1 and their second win was 20-2. I'd pick Louisville to win it all based on their Super Regional performance.

Me and my friends went to both ASU Super Regional games and I have to say, I think we are going to buy season tickets next year. Great stuff. GO DEVILS!

I went to the 1st game today...wow.......really good game.... there was a good amount of both fans there.....but i noticed that there is a LOT of Miss. ST. fans who made the trek to omaha....

So... with my beloved Heels defeating the 'Cocks in the Super Regionals, does that mean that UNC can lay claim to being simply "CAROLINA" for the time being, at least until football season, when the Ol' Ball Coach brings his SOUTH Carolina squad north to Kenan Stadium to play CAROLINA? :P

For the time being, yes. However, come October 13th, I expect that privilege to end.
