I don't think of a magician. I see a ball that needs a rakish handlebar mustache.HOWEVER...Since one of the oldest tricks magicians have in their acts is to pull X out of a hat [cards, rabbits, birds and the like], why not have the ball coming out of the hat? Basically, flip the logo so the hat is top-down on the ground, and the ball is coming out of the hat. Better yet, why not have the ball levitating just above the hat but completely outside of it? You could even add subtle motion lines, sparks, lightning, stars, clouds of dust, whatever to convey the sudden - POOF! - appearance of the ball. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
