-kj
I'm not sure what the story was on that, but yes, that was masking tape. I think it was a spare unnumbered jersey that they had to use that night or something.Hell, I've put numbers on jerseys with hockey tape in a pinch. It's rec league hockey, sometimes you have to improvise. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! Alphabet Man
I got one of my t-shirts for Melbourne Ice made up, I got my copy yesterday. I'll post pics later when I work out how to free up memory card space. It looks quite nice and the quality looks better than I thought it would be. Over the next months, they're making up my jerseys (home and away) which and some other stuff like more t-shirts, coasters, bumper stickers etc, etc. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
Bouj
Count me among those who have brought a concept to life. I came up with a variation of my college's baseball uniforms and made them a reality. Home white, away grey, home and road alts, and a BP. Plus I just got a "throwback" home & away set done.As far as any potential trademark infringement, the Fair Use Doctrine does give some leeway, as long as you aren't marketing the item as being associated with a real team (or legit trademark, as it were), and if no one is making a profit off the sale of said items. That second part is the catch. Try finding someone to make up a single item for no profit. But I went to a DII school that has done a laughable job of merchandising, so it's their fault I had to do it myself anyway. I blame the administration. Go Astros!Go Texans!Go Rockets!Go Javelinas!

Sterling84
I thought I would add that FSGear just sent me my own design for a fantasy football jersey today. So, I guess I have "brought" a creation to life too.I'll post photos of it tonight. Some of you may remember my team is named after HBOs Deadwood. It's basically a road Jets jersey subbing black for green and adding old gold detailing.Overrall I would highly recommend FSGear's services. We had some issues, but I must acknowledge I am a picky SOB and virtually impossible to satisfy.I could go on and on about how the tone of the emails weren't as friendly as I'd like, or how I never got a final "proof" email before deliver or how the mesh is a very wide/big-holed kind which I don't like. But I mean honestly, this is a beautiful jersey...almost just as I dreamed up, delivered for about $100 with embroidery and everything. YOu can't even get a ballcap done for that given the setup charges most places charge. I think to complain any further would be forgetting that not long ago this was a ridiculous notion and now it's as easy as pie.So, nits to pick or not, I'd really have to recommend them to anyone.Pics to follow. The original concept was submitted in Canucks colors. But this incarnation...the one they use. Was NEVER in Canucks colors. I tried it and didn't like it. And FYI, the Moose organization has never touched it on any level. Refining/cleaning up if you will....was all done by me. Which is not to say the Moose' opinions weren't heard and implemented...but they have no one on staff to handle such things. They are the single most generous and open-minded organization I've ever come across, but I've done all their on-ice graphics for going on 4-5 years now.[back to regular scheduled programming]I know Avenger has had more than one jersey brought to life and they looked amazing. I don't think those photos are up here any longer though. The Official Cheese-Filled Snack of NASCAR

They make single jerseys or team sets. Singles cost a little more (like 20% up-charge), but it is absolutely top notch. I have had 7 different baseball jersey designs and 2 jacket designs made into reality in single quantities, and I had my company's softball jerseys made by them. High-quality stuff, on par or better than MLB authentic jerseys. They do make basketball, football, hockey, and soccer stuff too, but I've never gotten any of that done. They have a variety of materials, colors, fonts, etc. And they send you a graphic for final approval. Cannot recommend them enough. Go Astros!Go Texans!Go Rockets!Go Javelinas! STL FANATIC
There was a swooping eagle logo that someone designed that was passed out for use in a Logolympiad event (had to accompany it with a wordmark). The two logos remind me of each other (though they're FAR different, just both swooping eagles).Perhaps that's the one you're thinking of rmered? That helps a lot.The only reason I was concerned about that was because I was thinking about getting the crests made by Liebe, who makes the crests for the actual MLB jerseys. But, I'm willing to reconsider that if it is too expensive.
