-kj
Dangit, I forgot to post about that. I saw the same thing at a Wild game last week, someone with Kovalchuk 17 on their Eastern jersey. Maple Leaf single-colour red names, tri-colour red/cream/red numbers. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! Reaper98
So, is the number font the same as the name font? The Maple Leafs use one font for their names and another for their numbers.

slapshot
The Maple Leafs use the same lettering for their nameplates as they do on the logo....Kabel (I think either Black or Ultra). They used to use Kabel for the numbers, but thankfully changed back to their current style a few years ago. The number font seems to be the typical angled/block style used by most teams throughout the league. The Kabel project looked like a bad experiment in consistency, but I thought the uniforms looked very minor league. Their lettering was not the typical angular/block font, is was more square. The St. John's Maple Leafs kept that lettering and look, and I believe they still use it to this day. slapshot
The lettering is definitely Kabel. The numbers are your standard beveled/block font. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
Avenger
I can understand the Leafs using that font on their nameplate (with it being in their logo), but I don't like it on the allstar jerseys. That font doesn't appear anywhere else on their jerseys, at least that I know of.

zer0dotcom
Yeah, the colour looks good, but if the theme of the All-star unis is retro, they need to use block lettering. If the leafs took a que and went blue/white/blue instead of blue/white/silver on their away uniforms, they would look alot better
slapshot
If the theme is retro, could at least be retro relevant to the host team and not another team? It doesn't even look retro at all, because they look like the backs of the CURRENT Maple Leafs.
