Ez Street
gee, i guess the Panthers have "Higher Standards". Damn, i liked Ericsson because it sounded like someones name opposed to BofA, which is SO corporate.

yh
sorry....The FleetCenter (soon to be Bank of America something) in Boston has long since been christened The Vault.Yeah, but that's in Boston, so it's really "the Vahhlt." With Ericsson being in NC, it would be known as "the Vawwlt."

sc49erfan15
Ericsson Stadium sounds so much better than Bank of America Stadium. But then again, Lambeau Field, Soldier Field and Candlestick Park sound so much better than any corporate name...What I always thought was cool is that the blue in the Ericsson logo and the Panthers' blue were very similar. pagan696
i guess it's better than our racetrack...Lowe's Motor Speedway at Charlotte in Concord, NC (which is 20 miles north of Charlotte)but i still prefer the original Carolina's Stadium. pagan696
JQK, RJ Renyolds already has had the naming rights to the designated "Smoking Areas" since day one there (no joke). no smoking allowed in the stands, but step 10ft. close to the red line areas, instant LA air quality.moonshine comes from the hills, not the city... which could help explain the rash of Charlotte pro athletes (Panthers, Hornets, and local celebs) getting in so many DWIs here, ugh! Mac the Knife
I suspect they'll be calling it the "BOA" within weeks. As in "boa constrictor."Then again we're talking about Charlotteans, who aren't real, well, sophisticated. They might not be bright enough to think of it.
