Imagine that!I had no problem with the B's old set. But this is a great update. The shoulder patch is light years better than the brown armadillo bear it's based on; the serifs are a noticeable change without being drastic or out place or disruptive to the look; the black and gold are well-proportioned.My only concern is the name player name font looks really out of place and possibly illegible, between the unnecessary serifs and the double outlining. The shoulder patch could be outlined for visibility's sake, but it works OK for me.The nicest of the NHL upgrades so far. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17. The new patch looks very classy."Smokey the Bear", that is the nicest thing ever said about the outgoing shoulder Bruin.The new bruin on the shoulder is the first good redition ever for the Boston Bruins.the '24, '25 and '26-34 bruin the new one is based on looks like an amadillo/bear hybred.The '76-'95 bruin looks crazy, perhaps rabid and needed to be shot and put up of it's misery.The '95-'07 bruin looks to docile and sleepy, he has perhaps already been shot, with a traquilizer.The '07-present bruin is perfect, he has just the right amount of mean, he's giving the same look Cam Neely gave when he was about to tear an opponents head off. First of all, it's truer to the original logo, and second of all, in the English language, we read top to bottom and left to right. A quick run through last year's uniforms shows that the majority of teams with 3 color numbers used two, and in many cases, one color names.
