sscrunner06
I was really happy to see Craig Biggio get his 3000th hit tonight. He became the 27th MLB player to reach this milestone. As a lifelong Astros fan, Biggio has always been one of my favorite players (and athletes in general). In a time when baseball is stilled marred with steroid controversy, it's great to see a player achieve a great feat like this without any negative circumstances surrounding it. Moreover, Biggio is a great guy and a player who doesn't always get a lot of attention (not counting these last couple weeks as he neared his 3000th hit). He just goes out there and gives it his all every game. I've always found him to be a fun ballplayer to watch and a great athlete/role model to look up to. Congrats Craig!! Hauglid13
Biggio is an under-rated player and proved to us why he is in the pros exactly yesterday. All he needed was 3 hits to reach 3000, but instead he went 5 for 6 and that is just amazing. Congrats to Biggio!
Epiphanic
Congratulations Biggio! Two milestones in one day (Thomas being the other). Fantastic! "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble.

kewp80
Biggio is a great guy, and a great ballplayer, I think he symbolizes all the great values of the great game. I'm especially glad to see him reach 3,000. Even if he does play for the Astros Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music! Jigga
Actually, the four are: Pete Rose, Rickey Henderson, Rafael Palmeiro, and, of course, Craig Biggio. Among active players, Barry Bonds is closest, and is now less than 100 hits away. There is still a slim chance he could get there by the end of the season.
