It is that time of year again. Press conferences to introduce draft picks should begin later today. You all know the drill.

EDIT. At least some of the press conferences will actually be Monday istead of today.

Here's a pic of Greg Oden wearing #52.

Kevin Durant, Sonics, #35

Greg Oden, Blazers, #52

Great Picture of Oden. He might be a man child, but apparently he doesn't know how to tie a tie. Plus do you notice that his dresser is giving the finger? Non related, just funny.

According to the Celtics website, Ray Allen will wear #20 for Boston, Glen Davis will wear #11, and Gabe Pruitt will wear #13.

EDIT:

Most of the NBA web site rosters don't show the draft picks yet, much less their numbers.

For the Bulls, Joakim Noah is #13, Aaron Gray is #34, and JamesOn Curry is #20.

I understand the reason Oden chose #52, but I don't think it is a very marketable number. Then again neither was 23...

What were the reasons?

I don't claim to be correct why he is wearing 52, but this makes sense: He wore 50 in high school and 20 in college, so I gather he took the 5 and 2 as a way of remembering his road to the NBA. Again, just my interpretation as to why, but I could be totally off. Sorry if my post came off too authoritative before.

Apparently this was posted by Greg Oden:

People of YardBarker Nation, I'm going to tell you all first. The number I'm going to wear is 52. It's a mix of my high school and college number. So wherever I go, I hope to get 52. I know it's an ugly number but to me it's just a number, and if I do good I think one person may wear it. I know the number 20 wasn't that attractive, but as the year went on it grew on me. This one will too. One last thing, thanks LZ, ESPN, and Rachel for putting me on the cover of the magazine, making me look good, and giving me a lifetime memory of me being able to say that I was cool at one point in my life. Thank You.

This might be off topic, but Greg Oden is a cool-ass dude. I hope he does good in the NBA.

And now for the question we all came for...

...who in the HELL dressed Joakim Noah?

I can just imagine Noah wearing that thing to the prom.

I thought he looked like a ventriloquist dummy. Somebody posted the picture; here's the article about how "stylish" that is. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=230314

Also, another image: here

With all the 'business as usual" and "in it for the money" athletes these days, it's refreshing to see Noah, he looks like he is genuinely enjoying himself, doesn't take things too seriously. Seems like a real cool dude, it would be nice to have that type of person in the locker room.
