Where were the first Winter Olympics Held?

Chamonix, France. 1924. Though at the time they were held, they were not formally recognized as the Games of the 1st Winter Olympiad. They were retroactively called the 1st Winter Olympics years later. The first Winter Olympics to be held expressly as Winter Olympics were the '28 Games in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Being the first one in with the right answer is fun, too!

Not knowing when Tank will post the Stumper and beating everyone else is fun!

Just knowing where to look (Wikipedia doesn't always have sports answers) is fun!

Reading more about the subject than you need to know just for the answer is fun!

Just getting involved in some way, any way with the Stumper....IS FUN!
