White Sox Concept

This is an update of an concept I did around two months ago. When I did it last the away unis were navy and grey and the homes were red and white. Also I used the Reds number font which needless to say I got ripped apart for using. Not only that, I was also told that using red homes and blue aways in the AL Central was a no-no. So I went back to the Silver and Black. Used normal MLB fonts and ditched the Old English Sox logo in favor of the Sox logo of 1983 for the home uniforms and I used for the away uniforms the Chicago logo of the late 70's. On the sleeves I didn't want to overkill the old Sox logo so I used the triangle bases on the sleeves for the homes, but I used the complete '83 logo for the road sleeves. Last but not least I figured that I would add home and away caps. Well hope you guys like it..C&C y'all.

After reading everyone's posts I decide to make a few changes..hope y'all like it.

This could be very good. Here's a couple or five things that I think would improve it.

1. Pinstripes ALWAYS look better with raglan sleeves. Sorry if I sound like a (not THE) broken record, but it's true.

2. Sleeve patches usually look better on the left sleeve.

3. Piping + pinstripes don't mix. Ever. Lose the neck / placket piping.

4. Usually, I'd e-slap you for mixing eras, but with a team as uniformly ununiform as the Sox, I'll let it slide. However, I'd still recommend staying consistent within each set. That means switch the caps and patches. I get what you were trying to do, I just don't think it works.

5. This is either the best or worst concept advice I've given in a while...

Darken the gray on the road a little bit, and make the pinstripes (gasp) white. Trust me. It may suck, but I have a feeling it will look great.

At the core, this is a good concept.

You need to simplify these.

1) Pick one sleeve patch, I suggest the "sock in diamond" one.

2) Only use one cap logo, preferably the "C" since it would be "Patsox-like" to have to different "Sox" fonts.

Keep it up, this could be really good.

Haha real funny dude.

I like the idea behind the concept.

My suggestions:

1) Stick with one font of your own choosing

2) Stick with one sleeve patch of your own choosing

3) Lose the pinstripes on the away, or as BBTV said, make them white.

4) Pick a new cap logo, or stick with the C one if you choose to stick with the font you have for Chicago.

5) Move the MLB logo up and color it gray and black.

Don't like the updates. I get what you're trying to do, but if you are going with only one script, the "Chicago" is waaay stronger than the "SOX." Follow someone else's advice and either do SOX in the Chicago font (maybe even a breast logo with the o and x inside of a big S (like their old WS throwbacks.)

The more i look at his, I really don't like the black pinstripes on the home. You either need a white outline around the text to make it stand out more, or... (wait for it)... go with silver (gray) pinstripes. There, I said it. Nobody has ever done it, and the Sox are known as a team who does what nobody else does (shorts anyone?)
