Roger Clemente Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 I remember a couple months ago, someone was posting up their ideas of what they'd like to see every team use in their uniform schemes.Well, I decided to try it.The first team I would change is the Avalanche. It irks me that they use black and they really don't need too. They have less black in their logo than Anaheim does (and in only one logo), and yet Anaheim doesn't use black in their home or road uniforms at all.Then again, I hate that burgundy color they use. Not even Phoenix does it well (although I must admit, Phoenix white uniform is sorta growing on me, but I still hate their red jersey). Regardless, I remade the Avalanche uniforms eliminating all black, except for the logo.EDIT:I'll post them all here. phocused Posted January 21, 2004 Share Posted January 21, 2004 Sorry Roger, my biased opinion as an diehard Avs fan would raise hell if they started wearing maroon helmets and blue pants. Ten years of winning in the current unis means a heckuva lot more than visual appeal. Truthfully, I will concede, the Avs colors can use a minor face lift. Black isn't the problem color though. Anyone who's seen Avalanche gear in primarily "steel blue" can attest to its awkwardness. It's a weak, unmasculine hue that needs a dominant maroon and black accent for appeal.
