Cowher to Giants?

I can't see Cowher going to New York for two reasons.

1) He wants to be closer to his family in North Carolina.

2) He didn't like the media pressure in Pittsburgh, how is he going to deal with the New York press and tabloids?

Cough, Cough.....Cowher to Tampa Bay when Gruden lays an egg this season (yes, I'm a Bucs fan and yes, I despise Gruden.

What do you guys think about the other candidates though?

I would love to see Parcells back with the Giants, but I'm not sure if he will come back at all. Marty would be a good choice, he's a great coach, if only he could just get over his playoffs bug.

I take the Pete Carroll candidate with a grain of sand because there are always rumors of him going to the NFL. Until it happens I will always be skeptical of that.

Well I could see it happening because the Giants will need a big name to win fans back after the 2007 season, which is going to be a disaster. I will be shocked if the Giants win more than 5 games.

Now that is something I can see. More Cowher to the Bucs, than him to the Giants. I see Marty Schottenheimer in NY. Bill Parcells is DONE, and Pete aint leavin USC

Bill Cowher is going to be linked to every single opening until he actually takes a job.

Don't be shocked if Danny Snyder throws Larry Brown money at "The Jaw" to bring him to DC. As a 'Skins fan, I hope this isn't the case because when Danny Boy goes shopping for those flashy high-profile names, they always turn out to be lemons.

Washington has a good coach in Greg Williams, I dunno if he coaches there still or not. He was my old coaches college roommate. He would tell me stories of how Williams would get Lavar Arrington to start behaving, nothing really appropriate for these boards! :D

Hmmm......... I really don't even know what to think with that one. Thats a new venture that could be extremely interesting.

His frickin' head would explode the first week of the season. :angered:

I'm not sure I could think of a worse pairing of personality with location if I tried. Maybe Dennis Green in NYC, but that's 'bout it.

well, one scenario (and God forbid it happens) but it a possibility that he could coach the Titans, because 1.) this is Jeff Fisher contract year and if what forever reason he doesn't re-sign w/ the Titans,we will be very high on everyone list @ the end of the season and IF he sign w/ someone else (again God forbids it happens) look for Cowher to be coach of the Titans IF it plays out that way.

Isn't Williams despised by the team? I remember reading an ESPN article on the travails of the Redskins last season, and his methods were brutal. I can't imagine that working for very much longer.

And he did lay a massive egg in Buffalo.

Cowher's next full time job will be in the TV booth. He's done with coaching. What's he got left to do as a coach?

Bring the Giants a Super Bowl Championship.

The whole being close to the family in North Carolina was b.s. if the Rooney's paid him the $8 million he wanted he would have stayed.
