JQK
...is a racing god.Once this man gets everything clicking, there isn't a better driver out there. And if it weren't for extremely bad luck, he would have won the 500, along with three to four other races this year. He's been excellent all year, and now the bad luck has gone away.I think he's got more than a shot to take on Gordon once the chase starts. spyboy1
He's a throwback to the days when driver's didn't specialize the way they do now. He's raced at the Indy 500, Daytona 500 and the Daytona 24 Hours, not to mention his sprint car racing and other grass roots events he competes in.He's A. J. Foyt and Mario Andretti for a new generation.I love the fact he moved home to Columbus, Indiana and is just being as true to his roots as any driver out there. Jigga
Uh oh! They :censored:ed around and awakened the sleeping giant. Handle your business, Smoke. Handle your business!I used to love it when he would race the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 in the same day. I know a lot of people don't consider drivers "athletes" or whatever, but to drive in two races in two time zones in two vastly different cars at top speed against 40 competitors in each race for a total of 1100 miles (hopefully) is an amazing feat. That man gets much respect from me. On January 16, 2013 at 3:49 PM, NJTank said: Btw this is old hat for Notre Dame. Knits Rockne made up George Tip's death bed speech. FiddySicks
I know a ton of people who absolutely love the guy, but I know just as many who hate him like he drove into a plane into an office building. No doubt about it, hes the Dale Earnhardt of racing today. Even Jr. can't match up to him in terms of style and poise.
