FiddySicks
Wow. It was a good logo before the updates, but you did what most just refuse to do and actually listened to their advice and made it look not only great, but iconic even. Awesome work. CDunn
To be honest I was somewhat dissappointed with the intial logos in this thread because you're a talented artist whose work I admire. The elements in the first set presented were, as Blackjack said, too disjointed to work as one cohesive logo. The thing that bothered me the most was how the arches just sat on the logo, not linked to anything really. That, and the pinstripes on gray. However, I love the latest update. By pulling the arches down closer to the text to make it more apart of the overall shape the logo, and widening everything so that the blue "box" around the text doesn't shoot out so far to either side, it has become a very professional looking piece. The only thing that I noticed on the latest one is that the white stroke around the 2008 is thinner on the top of the numbers than on the bottom. If it were even then there would be tiny little pinstripes coming up from the top of the home plate for like a millimeter, which would not look good. I don't think it's even worth messing with. What is the font you used on the last update? I'm not a big fan of the hourglass looking "8", but the text and the other numbers look good. The 2 reminds me of the Sabres and the Pacers.Very nice work.
slapshot
I just want to say thanks to everyone for their input (and unexpected praise ). I still have a little tweaking to do with this, but it turned out better than I thought, with a little help from some constructive criticism. The font used is Agency Bold, the same font used for the Pacers' wordmark.
