And we shall all rue the day that Los Angeles de Los Angeles de Anaheim appear.

Doesn't the Angels' name in spanish/english literally mean The The Angels Angels of Anaheim?

Congratulations on being the 2354th person on this board to point this out.

I had no beef against doing this, but they did it so poorly, let's just slap a little "LOS" before Mets. The should have made it the same sized, cursive font across the chest.

Exactly. It would've looked decent if they had done that. This just looks so cheaply done, like "Let's just slap a "Los" on there, and the hispanics will LOVE it."

I guess nobody paid any attention to my previous post.

The "Los" makes perfect sense because thats what the hispanics call the team! its perfect! just a few days back this conversation took place between my brother and myself:

Me: Hey wey, contra quien juegan los Padres?

Brother: Contra Los Mets.

Me: Ah Ok.

Unless we're the only spanish speaking people that refer to the Mets as "Los Mets" than this was nothing short of genius.

Have that same conversation in English. How do you refer to the Padres? How do you refer to the Mets?

I'm fairly sure you'd say "the Padres" and "the Mets."

However, the regular uniforms don't say "The Padres" or "The Mets." Make sense?

Where was all this negativity when the Texas Rangers wore the "LOS RANGERS" jersey on May 5th??

I like the jersey, I liked it so much that I went out and bought a "Los Mets" jersey and I wore it PROUDLY yesterday!!

The Rangers did a MUCH better job on the execution than the Mets. At least the "Los" was the same size as the "Rangers".

I wonder how retarded it would look to you if it had "Die Mets" on it. The only ones who would buy it would be Phillies and Braves fans.

Die is german right? (just wondering, i'm not saying i think it's spanish)

Is "Met" masculine or feminine?

I might be wrong, but I think the plural gets the "die" modifier.

I don't think that's necessarilty true. "Die Walkure" and "Die Meistersinger" are singular. And there's always "Die Bart Die," which is,of course, German for "The Bart The."

after reading some of the comments i've come to the conclusion that alot of members of this site is extremely racist.

While I partly agree, the whole mess is about the way it was done, not the whole "Los Mets" idea.

P.S. That black shadow on the script is terrible.
