Cleveland mls concept

I am not a big soccer fan, but the MLS is coming to Cleveland, so I figured I would try out a couple of concepts.

The first is the Cleveland Beacons.  I used the Marblehead Lighthouse which is located about an hour west of Cleveland as the main part of the logo.

The second concept is the Cleveland Rocks.  Sort of a double meaning, because of the song.

Let me know what you all think.  Thanks!

The Rocks is a great name for a Cleveland team, especially if they could use the Ian Hunter version of that song as a theme song.

I like the primary Beacons logo as well.

Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."

Beacons primary is great, but needs a bit of a brighter color at the top. The logo is solid, but the 'gloom of night' color scheme doesn't fit with the team name. I'm not so sure about the alt... if you saw it alone, it would be hard to tell what is was. Maybe if it's recolored?

The Rocks designs are awesome.

Some interesting concepts... I agree with those that say the Rocks are the better of the two.

One suggestion I have offhand... The Beacons' alternate looks more like 0B or IB than CB... perhaps make the C a little more pronounced.

Good work... welcome here... keep it up.

I think that, out of the three, the Crusaders is probably the most successful, in my opinion. You could push it a little more in terms of tightening up some areas (i.e. making the ball pattern more symmetrical, rather than off-axis, cleaning up the wordmark a little, and making the stroke thickness uniform [by that, i mean the difference between the outline of the rapiers and the outline around the letters-- it would function better if it were all the same width]), but this is a very strong concept and would fit very well into the MLS scheme.

Great work! Nice to have you aboard.

I like the concepts the all look good, especially the Beacons.

I agree 100% with what Winters in Buffalo said.  I like the style of the Beacons logo and the presentation looks professional, but the color scheme could be made a little more positive with some lighter highlights.

All in all some very nice concepts, look forward to seeing more from you.
