I expect a uniform redesign coming in 2008, much in the same way that the Pacers redesigned their jerseys after the Palace brawl. These changes are worked on for quite some time and must be submitted to the League far in advance.If the Falcons do change it wouldn't be until the '09 season IF like you say, they decide to make a change based on the Vick situation. (His first year was in the last version of the Glanvilles.) And wasn't it Vick who influenced the switch back to red? They would be wise to change a branding most associated with Vick, and they have a perfectly good one they could revert to. I'm sure Arthur Blank would like to think his new logo and unis are associated with his reign as owner, but the reality is they're with Vick. One thing I'd be interested in seeing is if they switch back to the black uni as their home - I believe it was Vick who helped push the red uni as the official home uni after the '04 season. Just because Vick was wearing this design while he got involved with seedy dogfighting, that shouldn't be grounds to change uniforms. That would be like saying that the Mets should've changed their unis back when Dwight Gooden was doing his dirt.If anything, I'd like to see them use the black jersey-white pants combo. Anyway, I don't see them doing a re-design so soon, even if they might want to, since this is definitely the look everyone associates with Mr. Vick. I guess I could see them doing something small like switching back to black jerseys, though there's really no need for three-quarters of Atlanta's division to wear the same color home jersey. I remember seeing the new Falcons jersey at Champs Sports and thinking that they redesigned just for him. There might be a bit more coincidence than that, but given the two-year notification requirement, it seemed like that thought made sense.And no, I don't think they should change the uniforms. That sets a pretty silly precedent.
