The shadowing isn't consistant on the nose, which makes it look like he broke it. maybe if he used that sword instead of posing with it he could have avoided that. The ear also looks a hair too low, and a has a certain albino chheto look to it. This is a zillion times better than anything I could come up with, but by your standards it's merely 'meh' and 'meh' won't cut it if you're serious about submitting it to a school.
