BucsBoy02
Anyone got a clue as to why the AFC logo has 6 stars and the NFC logo has 3 stars? Just looking to see if there is a reason
Discrim
far as I know, there's no significance, they probably just figured 3 stars within the N and 6 stars around the A looked cool. Krona
This probably shouldnt be in concepts, but i'll bite: i wonder if these will get an overhaul with the new league logo next year?
kewp80
The 6 stars on the AFC logo goes back to the six stars on the old AFL logo representing the 6 original teams, but I have no idea why there are 3 stars on the NFC logo though. Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music!
illwauk
Because Al Davis threatened the NFL with a lawsuit and the 6 stars was the settlement.../tongue-in-cheek

Claystation360
Yes ! when the AFL took the field for the 1960 season but in the meetings when the league was founded in 1959 the charter members were Dallas, New York, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis. Boston & Denver were added later & when Minneapolis's ownership group dropped out to become a NFL Expansion Team , it was replaced by Oakland before the beginning of the season . But either way the 6 stars repersent the founding 6 . notice the original AFL logo had 6 stars #DTWD #GoJaguars
winghaz
I think it's just that they wanted stars in both logos, and six fit in the AFC logo and three fit in the NFC logo.
Claystation360
I think not , there must be more to it then that & I hope they update the AFC & NFC logos . #DTWD #GoJaguars
