Just my second or so hockey concept and I'm looking for some good ideas. Its a bit muddy, but i think its heading in the right direction:

I don't like the way the letters of the word (Stars) circle around in side the star, otherwise I like the classic western feel.

It mimics, the way "TEXAS" circles the Rangers badges, but yeah, im not that crazy about it either

Every time I look at it i'm drawn to the two "S"s in a row... Ssrat or something

1. It's MODANO not MADANO

2. Ditch the S T A R S text in the logo, it doesn't look right at all.

3. Change the goldish coloring for the away sweater. it just doesnt mix.

4. Try building on the logo you have for the Stars. I know it is hard to come up with something unique but I think youre on the right track, just get too Texas Rangers.

I like the idea of the little texas flag and sticks in the middle of the star but maybe its a little too fine detailed, i don't know. Anything without the letters is an improvement though, not because its a bad idea, just because its distracting

i like the flag, just not the letters. interesting idea, not for the stars IMO, but interesting, nonetheless.

I really like where this is going. What about if in the center of the star you just either wrote "Stars" or you put something similar to Turkleton's avatar?

if you're going to put "Stars" on the badge, id suggest starting the word at the bottom left spoke and then circling clockwise with it. if anything i think that would make it easier to read at first glance.

That is a really nifty logo. I wish this was what the Stars really wore. This concept is really top notch.

Remove the words starts from the star and put them in the outer circle leaving the flag in the middle.

I actually had an idea fairly similar to this but never got around to doing much with it. I do like the idea though, but as others mentioned, I'm not big on how the letters circle the star...the 2 "S" right next to each other looks a bit odd...in terms of originality though, I'm diggin' it.

I would use the third tweaked logo with nothing in the star. Also, on the home jerseys, I'd try swapping the gold and white...then you'd have an exact copy of the road, only with the green and white reversed. That said, this is a good concept with the potential to become great!

While I like the way the stripe cuts through the middle of the back number, I think it puts the logo and the stripe a bit too high up the chest. The Habs have their stripe at a good level on the chest, and it goes through the lower half of the number. My .02.

thanks for all the comments guys. I have some new ideas that I'm gonna work on as soon as ibreak free from the shackles of work. I want to finish this template off with shorts, helmets, socks, etc. as well as cleaning up that logo

I think this has an insane amount of potential.

I'd also go with the badge without anything in it, and then try to work something with the flag and hockey sticks as a shoulder badge.

suggestion. replace the top line of the outer circle with "DALLAS" and the bottom with "STARS" and see how that works. other than that i LOVE the idea you have here and would love to see it with an im proved logo.
