I am going to say 1984. Due to a scheduling problem with the Kingdome the Browns and Seahawks played their opener on Monday. Unlike tonight, the game wasn't part of a MNF doubleheader. If I recall correctly outside Seattle and Cleveland the game wasn't even televised regionally. I know we didn't get it in Toledo. The Cowboys and Rams were the actual MNF game.

Does that count?

By my guess was it in 1987 when the Broncos-Vikings game (originally scheduled for Sunday Oct. 25 was bumped back to the 26th due to a Twins playoff game in the Metrodome?

Correct it happened 10 years later for the same reason to the Dolphins too.

OK no problem.

Check the dates on the first game of the season for both teams and compare it to the MNF all time results link.

In fairness to Tank this could have gone either way. To my knowledge the Seattle-Cleveland game wasn't an "official" MNF game. It was simply a rescheduled game. But it was the first time two regular season games were played on a Monday in the NFL.
