I am a Mooseheads fan and I was really hoping they would update their look.Hey, how come the Q and the AHL etc get rbk jerseys with all kinds of graphic elements, while the NHL teams like Philly, Ottawa and TB are wearing pajamas because all they did is stitch different colored pieces of fabric together? The NHL teams could have had all kinds of creative stripping, but instead they have rigid piping?answer: Patsox Designs was put in charge of redesigning the NHL and to some extent the AHL. Spoilers! About two years ago they added a second mascot, Mac the Moose.Also, the team has now has a white version of the third jersey. So they now have both white and dark versions of the alternate, similiar to how the Rangers once had both blue and white versions of the Lady Liberty jerseys. It has to be just the disembodied head of the moose, because that is what the team is.I've been saying for years that they really oughta change the name to just the Moose. No one else in the CHL uses Moose, let alone MooseHEADS, so it's fair game. Don't even need to change the logo if they don't want to. It has always bothered me about the Mooseheads that they abbreviate their name to Moose or Herd. But the noun in the name is Heads! Moose is the adverd describing the noun. No one referred to the Mighty Ducks as the Mighty, or the Red Wings as the Red, or the Maple Leafs as the Maple, or the Blackhawks as the Black, or the Blue Jays as the Blue, or the Red Sox or White Sox as the Red and White respectively. Heads fans need to get with the program.Herd isn't applicable either because no one has ever seen a bunch of severed heads roaming through the forest.Oh Halifax, when will you learn?(Yes, I am well aware that my team name has the word SCREAMING in it.) jeremyb Posted October 18, 2007 Share Posted October 18, 2007 I really think that within two years the Mooseheads will have a new name, the new jerseys are the beginning of a transition away from former owners moosehead brewries. I also know that they are planning to phase out the green as the goalies were asked not to have green in their pads for this year. Personally I loved the moosehead colours because they were really unique, I think they should go with a really dark forest green and red.I really hope they go with the name Halifax Moose to tye in with their history.
