*Somebody cue up Missy Elliott...*

I CAN'T STAND THE RAI-I-INN!! (Boomp boomp...boomp boomp-boomp boomp...)

Ahem.

EDIT: Woah...Janis Joplin? That's disgustingly wrong.

A lot of the things the SuperFriends collective did were bites off something or other--hell, practically the whole damn single "Cop Dat S***" was a remake!

Regardless...who's better-known for the whole "can't stand the rain" thing?

Either way it go...the game over. Pittsburgh won, so at least Steeler World will keep spinning, and the city (as well as Allegheny County) will continue to operate...whether I actually MAKE IT INTO THAT MICKIFICKI OR NOT.

(Still stuck in ATL's airport tryna get there...)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

MNF isn't what it used to be. It's football's equivalent of Jay Leno taking over for Johnny Carson, but I digress.

It was a game of field position, first and foremost - force your opponent to screw up deep in their own territory. It was old school football, like they played in the 20's and 30's. Somewhat entertaining for a while, but anyone watching the game who knows the history of the league now realizes why certain rule changes (forward pass rules, pass interference rules, etc.) were adopted.

Ok so im probably the only person who watched the game all the way through and remained awake, but did anyone else see that insane punt (I think it was around the end of the third quarter) in the second half that DIDN'T BOUNCE!!!!! It literally hit the ground and stuck, it didn't move an inch. It was so akward even the kick return team almost tripped over the damn thing. Easily the most exciting play of the game.

Oh, and Pittsburgh DEFINATELY just fell off the wagon of contenders in the AFC IMO after that dreadful performance.

nah they just didn't want to run up the score on them. they didn't want to be new england and route teams 92 to 10. so they settled for a field goal and was done with it. no sense in humiliating them anyfurture than they were, and they certainly didn't want to score any touchdowns as that would have been running up the score just to contemplate running up the score. so you get a 3-0 appropriate score. a point more and it would be running up the score.

MNF isn't what it used to be.

The NFL isn't what it used to be. It's now five or six good teams, twenty or so very mediocre ones, and five or six horrid ones.

I'm a huge NFL fan but it's really starting to be a turn-off, especially now that we're in that time of the season where they ramp up the game coverage. Great, now I can watch blah football on Thursday and Saturday too. Well, no. I have better things to do. And when fervent NFL fans are thinking that way, then Roger, you have a problem.

Well, it is hard to run up the score on the when you could only get to the red zone once... and that was on their final drive

Yeah....that punt was nuts. (Especially since there's a pretty good chance that if it bounced at all, it would have hit a Steeler and been possibly a massively game-changing play.)

NFL should have taken the hint from the lightening delay.

That game told no one a damn thing. The conditions were damn near unplayable. If this wasn't a Prime Time MNF game, it would have been postponed or rescheduled it...but because of network and league concerns (money), the show must always go on.

I bet Ricky Williams went home last night and smoked a joint. pff 10 months till he hits the field again, thats plenty of time to become clean again. Dont worry Ricky, pot is a pain reliever, this is just about what you wanted anyways.

Perhaps Joe Gibbs needs to read the rulebook retire again.

Thanks for the 15 yard advantage on the GWFG!

Fixed that for you.

Well...the Rams are 3-1 in their regular season...but almost gagged away all 3 of them due to a complete inability to adjust in the second half.

It's a :censored: ing joke that Linehan is most likely going to get a mulligan from the Rams FO because of injuries.

I know losing Sean Taylor is huge, but did the Redskins really have to put 10 men on the field on their first defencive play?

The sentiment, I'm sure, was appreciated by his family...although it would have been stupid if Buffalo scored on that play/drive.

Personally, I think Taylor would have more appreciated them honoring his memory with a victory/Joe Gibbs remembering you can't call 2 timeouts in a row.

I'm sure the Bills recognized their advantage, and out of respect, ran a running play. I'd hate to have been in Fred Jackson's shoes -- if he had had an opening, should he have taken it the whole way? I'm glad it ended the way it did -- a few positive yards and out of bounds.
