McCall
Damn. Their numbers back then weren't THAT original. How frickin hard is it to re-create it? Shame on you, Majestic. A big shame on you. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
HedleyLamarr
The Astros did a similar thing to what the Giants did earlier this week, putting Biggio's jersey number on that hill in centerfield.Speaking of Biggio, he's been taken out of the game in the 8th inning, and a magnificient career has come to a close. Wally1912
On the rainbow shouldered recreations, Majestic failed to include the vertical navy stripe on the side belt tunnels. How it was originally:
Gothamite
As much as those blown details bug me, I think that's actually an improvement. Breaking up the stripe looks better than the two stripes not coming together at the waist.... The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. BBTV
On the rainbow shouldered recreations, Majestic failed to include the vertical navy stripe on the side belt tunnels. How it was originally:Actually, if they were supposed to be from his rookie season (87, right?) then they wouldn't even have had belts at all:Also, I like how your example pics were all of former Phillies! cheo25
The other butchered detail of the weekend was the Astros wearing their current-day black helmets with the throwbacks. Both throwback sets featured navy blue caps and lettering. May not matter far away and may not matter on non-close-up shots on TV, but navy blue and black don't match. And I hate it when teams/companies/whoever muck that up.
cajunaggie08
The astros have allways worn their current helmets whenever they do throwback jersey games. It just seems like too much of a pain to have to go and buy a whole new set of batting helmets for just one game. Then again they could auction them off and make a profit. CubsFanBudMan
Or maybe they didn't bother because Biggio loads his helmet with so much pine tar you can't tell anyway.(Is that star gold?)
