BBM
The retro Bills certainly works better with the white helmet.
cheo25
The retro Bills certainly works better with the white helmet. And with the throwback jersey. That Thurman Thomas jersey appears to be just their 1994 regular-season jersey, not a throwback. And the Bills didn't have white helmets until 1984, so they just slapped some retro logos on to red helmets. Terribly done. Some teams did a really good job with the 1994 retro unis, and others should have just worn their regular stuff instead of half-assing the retro look. SmoothieX
The Bills '94 throwbacks were so half assed.
Gothamite
We've talked about this on other threads - for some reason, about half the teams decided not to break in two sets of helmets, so they wore the current shells with their old decals.Hate the vomiting Bronco logo, but those Denver jerseys are outstanding. Both home and away, the best the club's ever worn. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
hormone
Weren't the Jets throwbacks half assed with a green helmet too? Back then, most throwbacks were just thrown together with what they had.
Gothamite
Yeah, the Jets were another one. I seem to recall that they in particular cited safety concerns: remember, to this point teams had only worn one helmet all season. They broke the helmets in during training camp and used them all season. So I can kind of understand their position, although they were wrong. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database!
