The Vixens replace the Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels in the old Commonwealth Bank Trophy.I would like it better if Melbourne was above the Vixens in the wordmark.Nevertheless, the colours and name do match what they were aiming to achieve.Rising from the ashes of the Phoenix and Kestrels, the Melbourne Vixens are Victoria’s brand new ANZ Championship team.Bold and sophisticated, the Vixens will cut a striking figure on court in crimson, green, navy and black. Why the Vixens? Yes it’s foxy – and deliberately so! But it also depicts a team that is fierce but feminine, sleek and professional, and sets Melbourne Vixens apart as true championship contenders. Igniting the court in April 2008, the Vixens will play ANZ Championship home games at Vodafone Arena and the State Netball Hockey Centre.
