SgtCarp
Jacksonville uses way too much black. When I hear "Jacksonville Jaguars", I always think teal. Now there's almost none except the home jersey.

Well, to some of us, maybe most, myself included, black is OK in moderation. Too much can be overkill on the eyes.

Now there's almost none except the home jersey. You say that like its a bad thing. Teal was so trendy and is so played out. If its shelved forever, Im fine with that. To me, it should only be an accent color rather than a primary color. I applaud their new direction.
Gothamite
Black is similarly trendy, and is similarly played out. The Jaguars traded one lousy look for another.
Claystation360
I can't argee with that they overall have not changed their uniforms that much . now is teal the color of champions mmmm no , but they came in during the mid 90's when teal was in it's prime . Fans have always wanted more black so thats part of them trying to take in what the fans like plus it was Del Rio trying to change the image of the Jaguars from TC's Jaguars giving them more of a meaner look . But the home jerseys still have a Teal top and white pants like the team has had for years now the road uni is tough and to me one of the best even if it doesn't have very much teal with the white tops black numbers and Black pants . it give the jags road and home team 2 different images , but I could almost see them addeding another later down the line . winghaz
I like more black and less teal in the Jaguars' uniforms. While I'm not a fan of all the black you seen in uniforms today, it's still better than teal, which belongs more on a wedding shower invitation than a football uniform. tBBP
Seriously...I do not see the issue with the Jaguars' teal. It is, in fact, unique. The same as the Dolphins' aqua. I don't see it as "pansy" at all, any more than the Purple Norsemen up in Minnesota or the purple-clad Ravens. But then...this is coming from someone who is a fan of color (not to mention the biggest advocate of creamsicle...), so take that for what it's worth. That said, I have this one thing to say about people thinking their team looks "tougher" by mixing in black: does anyone think the Miami Dolphins look tough? I assure you just about every team they played during the 1972 season thought so--I mean, after all, they had the #1 offense AND defense, and, as we all know, completed the undefeated season. But it wasn't the colors that made them look "tough"...it was the players that PLAYED that way.True...I know that a lot of players believe that they will play good if they look good, but I look at the plain-jane Indianapolis Colts as a dispelling of that lil' half-myth. And they won the SB in all-white, at that.I guess I'm just a good bit bitter that my second-favorite NFL team done went away from uniquenss, their original identity, which was the teal, and attached themselves so much to this black craze that done swept through pro sports of late, and in doing so, have created something of a mismatch set along the line of the Dallas Cowboys--different looks for home and road.(You know...if they would at least change the numbers back to teal, that'd solve about 80% of my issues with this whole thing...)And to wrap all this up...if players want to look tough, PLAY THAT WAY. Uniforms will only get you so far...like...on the field. The rest is up to the men wearing them.Okay I'm done ranting for right now...Okay I'm done ranting now. IronChefShark
the Jags black pants would look ok if they simply had a gold-black-teal-black-gold stripe on them (would like to see this type of stripe on the helmets as well)and they need to go back to teal numbers on the white jerseys

You are correct, sir! Had I not been in the Army at that time, perhaps I would have noticed it...or maybe no, considering both teams were pretty terrible that year!
