Well, I voted for the Pro Bowl today, finally. Some here may be of the opinion that the event is a joke, but it's still fairly entertaining, and it's cool to give the season's solid performers some credit for the job they've done. Here were my picks:

AFC

QB: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger

RB: Willie Parker, Willis McGahee, Joseph Addai

WR: Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, Braylon Edwards, Reggie Wayne

TE: Antonio Gates, Kellen Winslow

FB: Lorenzo Neal

T: Matt Light, Willie Anderson, Joe Thomas

G: Logan Mankins, Alan Faneca, Eric Steinbach

C: Jeff Saturday, Dan Koppen

DT: Casey Hampton, Albert Haynesworth, Ty Warren

DE: Jared Allen, Jason Taylor, Kyle VandenBosch

OLB: Mike Vrabel, Shawne Merriman, Angelo Crowell

ILB: Ray Lewis, DeMeco Ryans

CB: Rashean Mathis, Asante Samuel, Leigh Bodden

SS: Bob Sanders

FS: Ed Reed

ST: Kassim Osgood

K: Rob Bironas

P: Shane Lechler

R: Leon Washington

NFC

QB: Tony Romo, Brett Favre, Jon Kitna

RB: Adrian Peterson, Clinton Portis, Brian Westbrook

WR: Terrell Owens, Larry Fitzgerald, Torry Holt, Bobby Engram

TE: Jason Witten, Jeremy Shockey

FB: Tony Richardson

T: Walter Jones, Flozell Adams, Chris Samuels

G: Leonard Davis, Chris Snee, Steve Hutchinson

C: Matt Birk, Andre Gurode

DT: Kevin Williams, Tommie Harris, Darnell Dockett

DE: Aaron Kampman, Trent Cole, Osi Umenyiora

OLB: Julian Peterson, Ernie Sims, DeMarcus Ware

ILB: London Fletcher, E.J. Henderson

CB: Anthony Henry, Charles Woodson, DeAngelo Hall

SS: Roy Williams

FS: Sean Taylor

ST: Brendon Ayanbadejo

K: Josh Brown

P: Andy Lee

R: Devin Hester

I'd be happy to hear anybody else's picks, if they remember 'em ^_^.

Eight Cowboys (if I counted correctly). Nice.

Sure, but it's a bad list. Willis McGahee? Please.

Seen McGahee's numbers this year? He's about the only bright spot in that Ravens offense. And tell me, who would you pick over him from the AFC? Lynch has comparable yardage, but his YPC is much worse than McGahee's, and LT is having a bit of a down year.

Good thing they're RUNNING backs not WR.

Youre list is pretty much what I expect the masses to throw out there except the obviously missing Champ Bailey.

Now that made my day. at least they'll make it to the pro bowl. its not like they are going to make it to a silly event like the super bowl. if i remember correctly just about every team phillips has been a part of has not made it out of the first round.

I think the Pro Bowl should be an honor in name only, no game. No one cares about the outcome and no one watches it. Yes, I think that being a Pro Bowl selection is awesome...just no need for the game. God forbid someone actually had a career-ending injury in a Pro Bowl game. It's a marketing gimmick for ticket sales and media sales, nothing more in my opinion.

The Pro Bowl is the game that should be sent oversees. A meaningless game with all the stars. What better way to showcase the NFL product without pissing off loyal fans?

You ever been to the Pro Bowl? I go with family every year (so far four times, will be five in Febuary) and I honestly have to say it is an absolutely amazing experience. It can be boring as hell on TV, but dont knock it till you try it my friend. Beats the HELL outta the MLB All Star Game, and that is probably the post popular of the ASGs.
