Braden
Oh goodness... at 28? That really sucks to hear.My condolences go out to his family. He played pretty well in middle-relief for the Jays at the end of the season. I was hoping they would re-sign him. FiddySicks
Crazy. Me, Puckguy, and former CCSLCer DirtyCurty went to an A's Cardinals game this past June where Kennedy started. Crazy to think he's gone now I just saw him in September a couple of times -- I took a few pictures of him as well... nothing spectacular but I will post anyways when I get the chance. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

Andy
Saw him at PNC Park when he was a rookie for the Rockies. Jason Kendall charged him and it sparked a bench-clearing scuffle. It's stuck in my mind ever since, the image of a smaller Kendall jumping up to headlock the bigger pitcher. Weird and sad to read about this. PeytonManningRocks
It's a sad loss for baseball. Very sad. My condolences to his family. And on a side note, what is it with all these pitchers dying in the last couple years? RyanB06
And on a side note, what is it with all these pitchers dying in the last couple years? (Kennedy, Lidle, Hancock)Lidle died in a plane crash. Hancock died in a drunk-driving accident. I don't see how either relate to Kennedy. He was a regular guest on the "Bubba The Love Sponge" show on Howard 101 (Sirius, in case you didn't know)...it'll be interesting to hear the guys' discussion of this on Monday. CDuffy26
I to find that wierd. We went a good 6 years without a death in baseball. Then, in a span of 14 months, three of them are gone. I hate to see stuff like this happen, as the rest of us most likely do. It's sad because he was just beginning to hit the prime of his career. I remember when he was considered the staff ace on Tampa Bay, when he went something like 3-12. RIP Joe, we hardly knew you... Interesting Baseball fact: In 1960: Baltimore, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh had 2 AAA affiliates, while Los Angeles had 3 teams...and the New York Yankees had the Kansas City Athletics.Interesting Hockey fact: In 1974, the Buffalo Sabres draft Taro Tsujimoto of the Toyko Katanas with th 183 pick in the draft. It was later revealed that Taro didn't exist, but Taro is still listed as an offical draftee of the Buffalo Sabres in their Media Guide.
