Players in the "wrong" uniforms

That's not the wrong uniform for Maurice.

That's not fair. I've spoken with Maurice recently. He's really turned his life around. He's living in Omaha and is involved in Church over there. He speaks to kids about the dangers of gang involvement and iirc, he goes to prisons to council inmates. He's a gym rat too, he is great shape as well.

Lighten up, Francis. It was a joke, sort of.

It's a tired joke.

Seconded. It's been years. Glad to hear he's doing well, for whatever reason I always wanted him to succeed.

Gods there's a lot of things wrong about that picture.

1. It's Patrick Ewing. In a baseball uniform.

2. That's about the most obscure (and ugliest) Mets home uniform wordmark since it was only worn for 2 seasons.

3. He's wearing plain white socks - no stirrups or colored socks (stirrups or one-piece faux stirrups would have still been more common back then.)

4. Are those even baseball spikes?

5. The Upper Deck patch on his sleeve.

whats so special aboutthat photo? a tall baseball player? WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEESH

Carter23 must not know much about basketball. He also had no idea that Ray Allen was a real basketball player, and thought he played for the Celtics and Heat at the same time. If your going to join a site like this, you need to know more about sports.

HOW DARE YOU. I just wasn?t aware that Patrick Ewing Jr.?s (hoosier/hoya/drafted by the kings in the 2nd round in 2008/ended up on the rockets/traded to the knicks for former 1998 knick draft pick [picked right before queensbridge?s ron artest/metta world peace] Frederic Weiss [frenchman who never suited up for the knicks] who was famously dunked on by vince carter in the olympics or world games) dad was a major league based-ball player for the mets. Doesn?t mean I don?t know anything about the basket ball league

The funny thing is that Patrick Ewing Sr. never played baseball. He played basketball, and is in the Hall of Fame. Oh, and learn how to spell, capitalize and correctly space certain words before the next time you post.

Wikipedia is a great tool, isn't it? You essentially just repeated the Wiki entry on Ewing Jr.

By the way, Patrick Ewing Sr. never played baseball. That was the point.
