He was Rick Pitino's first pick in that big draft where they had three first round picks but could not net that lottery pick to get Tim Duncan.  A year later Pitino, trying to prove his worth as a GM, started wheeling and dealing players away and he traded Chauncey away.  Pitino was a huge failure as a Celtics coach and worse as the GM.

Chauncey was traded to Orlando from Denver as part of the Ron Mercer deal in 2000. Didn't play for them, but was in the team photo. He was officially assigned jersey number 2.

Yep, Chauncey and Ben Wallace were Magic teammates lol.

In 1981, almost two years after he retired, Bobby Hull attempted an NHL comeback with the New York Rangers. After five exhibition games it ended. For decades I have been searching for a photo of Hull in a Ranger uni, and finally came across this...

In honor of their elections to the Baseball Hall of Fame:

Ivan Rodriguez, Yankees (second half of 2008):

Tim Raines, Orioles (this might be the ultimate "wrong" uniform: he played 4 games with the Orioles in October 2001, just so that he could play alongside his son Tim Raines, Jr.):

And while the other man elected played his entire career with the Astros, Jeff Bagwell was originally a Red Sox prospect:

(And Sox fans are still angry about that trade.)

I'd make a Larry Andersen crack, except I'm a Reds fan, so I've seen plenty of similar trades just within the past few years...

For two teammates, and in honor of Bagwell- two 'Right team, wrong uniform' entries.

This is how Pudge should go in to the MLB HOF:

No other uniform is remotely acceptable for him, including other incarnations of the Rangers uniforms.

MLB giving us two examples of right team, wrong uniform.

I think the Bagwell uniform is pretty appropriate.

I was referring to Rock and Pudge. Always think of Pudge in the Rangers' red era.
