Players in the "wrong" uniforms

Recommended Posts

I did some baseball players that were traded as prospect a later became stars. Here are a few more:

Adam Jones with the Mariners:

sorry if some of these have already been posted, I haven't look through this whole thread in a long time.

I think we need to redefine what "legend" means once again. ;)

And damn that Time Wakefield and his knuckleball!

I was just about to:

Cubs legend Mark DeRosa in a Cardinals uniform. What do you mean he's not a legend? That's not what the multiple Wrigley standing ovations and the sports talk radio in Chicago suggest. :)

I apologize if this is a bit too inside-joke, but I was tempted when he was an Indian. Now that he's a Cardinal (and as noted above, the bar has been lowered), I could not resist.

... just kidding. Well, maybe.

Tavares will leave his mark on Long Island, you'll see.

He's going to p*ss on it on his way out?

As a very quick aside on this topic. How in years to come are people going to feel about Kevin Garnett's years in Boston? I mean, without finally getting a championship in Boston, he would be a shoo in for this topic, but I kind of think of Garnett as a Celtic now, not a T-wolf seeing out his final years in the wrong uniform.

He fit in so well and quickly as a Celtics, it seems like he was destined to be in green.

KG in a Timberwolves uniform looks like a legend in the wrong uniform to me now.

Ray Bourque

Teemu Selanne

Paul Kariya

Kariya and Selanne are definately wrong jerseys. However I can buy the argument to an extent that Bourque is not in a "wrong jersey" when considering the story behind it and what happened in his last game as a member of the Avalanche.
