Blue Falcon Posted December 13, 2007 Share Posted December 13, 2007 I couldn't find the original post, but a while back someone was looking for info about a proposed Patriots logo change that had been shown to the fans in Foxboro during halftime of a game in 1979 or so, and the fans booed it so badly the Patriots scrapped the idea. All I remember hearing is that it looked something like the current Flying Elvis look. Personally, I think they got it right, cause while some of those are pretty decent, most of em suck. There was actually a live "vote" at halftime of a game. They displayed the logo current at the time "pat patriot" and the new logo and asked fans to vote with applause for the one they wanted. Pat Patriot won in a landslide. In fact, the new logo was booed loudly. Pat Patriot then stayed as the logo until Elvis came along...... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
