Merry Christmas Colours

Well Merry Christmas to all! I know we always assoicated red and green with Christmas time but I have always thought these colours look really great together. This colour combo is not often used in sports but there are a few teams they do it and do it well, I believe for the best look you need to combine a dark dark forest green with a vibrant red or brick red.

Well here are the Green and Red teams I could think of any others?

Milwaukee Bucks:

Halifax Mooseheads (although it looks like they will be changing to Black and Red):

Dangit, DEAD! beat me to the Rabbitohs. So instead, I contribute the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

Minot State in North Dakota wears red and green.

Minot State

While Minot State is green and red, the photo you posted is not of a MSU player... Check out the rest of that gallery. It's photos of a Minot State vs. Bemidji State club hockey game, and a Bemidji State player just happens to have on red pants. The MSU team is in white jerseys. See this photo. Note MSU - Minot State in white, and the other team (Bemidji State) in green.

Now, as noted, Minot State is green and red:

not sure if this counts, but this is just additional proof that red and green look terrible together.

national teams for olympics/worldcups/tournaments, etc... that's acceptable.

but if you aren't tied to the colors of your nation, there is no excuse to wear green and red together in a month that doesn't start with D.

I love these jerseys, and wish someone would help them make a comeback.

Right there with ya. I've got a couple hundred bucks - let's bring back the WLAF in style.

(owns the '95 jersey - unbelievable in every sense of the word)

My namesake fantasy football team, the Toronto Vipers, not only used to have green and red as their co-primary colors, but their helmet was metallic gold, another Christmas color. (I have since dropped the red in favor of two-tone green.) The Toronto Vipers link in my sig below goes to a thread that includes a GIF of the old gold, red and green helmet.

Oops. Sorry about that. Good catch, Moose.

Years ago I dated a woman who played basketball for Minot State. And, yes, she hated the nickname Beavers. I have to admit, though, that I gave her a lot of grief about it.
