Caps ditch EDGE template

I first saw it when someone on another boards posted this link. And then I found this.

Autumn Sweaters ? Given the choice to return to using the same fabric that was used in hockey sweaters prior to this season rather than the ultra-hyped ?uniform systems? that were introduced league-wide prior to this season, every single member of the Caps went with last year?s fabric. Wednesday night marked the first time the new (old) sweater fabric was made available, and every member of the Caps had the new model sweater with the old fabric hanging in his locker prior to the game.

Maybe I completely missed it in the links you provided, but it doesn't look like they ditched the template, just the fabric.

I think they did it just for Chris. ^_^

I hope this is a step towards getting rid of those things.

It is, I'm sure. No way these travesties will last much longer. They may as well glue-sticked some glitter and pipecleaners to hefty trash bags, christ they're water resistant too.

Heres a link of pictures from that game.http://capitals.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...;galleryId=3679

Some of the jerseys do look baggier, but who knows maybe its just the pic?

No, they do look baggier. To me though, the part that still annoys me is the curved cut at the waist. Still not used to it at midseason.

I know im contradicting myself here, but if you look at these pictures from about a week agohttp://capitals.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...;galleryId=3637

they look the exact same as the jerseys from the first link.

Could be because those pictures are from December 12th, which is the first night they were apparently wearing these new, old jerseys.

Maybe your right, if you look at these pics http://capitals.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...;galleryId=3308

they defiantly look tighter.

Maybe your right

There's no maybe about it... the article said they started wearing them on the 12th and those photos are from the game on the 12th.

Honestly, I don't see much of a difference between the Edge uniforms and last years when it comes to whether they look more baggy or not. I was at the Canes-Flames game last Friday and sat right behind the bench and it didn't look much different than what I saw in years past. I don't like the curve at the bottom of the jersey, though. That idea sucks.

Any idea if the public is buying these (new RBK) jerseys? I never see anyone actually buying the jersey when I am at Joe Louis Arena. The stand that sells 'em used to always have people there.

I've seen a few people with Bruins replicas at school...I don't know if anyone is buying authentic jerseys at $400+ a pop or however much they cost.
