Yeah, I know that there are tons of sigs like these on the board, already. But I was bored as hell last night so I came up with this rubbish.

The preview is the Cowboys one contained in my signature.

I actually think these are really cool, and well done. However, I think you should try fiddling with the wrap effect on the helmet, some of the logos look big time distorted. Aside from that, these are awesome!

Play around with the object select box to skew it differently?

Or is it different in Illustrator? That's from cheap raster programs that I know of skewing and whatnot.

Use a similar 3/4 raster image of the helmet as a guide. Make the logo a symbol, create a 3d ball, map the symbol onto the ball to create the distorted effect. Expand appearance, delete all but the logo. Then use the raster image to tweak the shape.
